"In Offret" is Echran's second full length after the acclaimed first album of the same name in 2005. ECHRAN are a duo formed by Davide Del Col on synths, already author of several albums oriented towards dark environmental territories with the moniker Ornament, and by Fabio Volpi (of the Otolab collective), voice and laptop. The two rework post-industrial reminiscences and analogue echoes of the 70s/80s by combining them with cold digital sequences. Sidereal and obsessive atmospheres, tense and hypnotic rhythms... Imagine the liquid fluidity of typically German cosmic music, without however taking the compositions towards too extreme dilations, mixed with cyclical and pulsating sounds, similar to Pan Sonic, all imbued with darkness and meloncholy. Furthermore there are waste from the early industrial scene (Throbbing Gristle, Coil...). The lyrics, all in French, fit into the moods of the sound, contributing to the general humus of the work.
